Narendra Modi and Godhara Riots

 

    ( My present blog is based on allegations made against Narendra Modi and the findings given by Special Investigation Team constituted by Hon' ble Supreme Court of India.I do not intend to add or substract any thing that appear in SIT Report submitted to Hon'ble Supreme Court.)

        
Dr.Manmohan Singh,P.M.despite order dated 26.12.2013 passed by the Learned Magistrate, Ahamdabad accepting the closure report in Godhara Case and rejecting the protest petition filed by Mrs.Jakia Jafari widow of Late Ahsan Jafri, Ex- MP of Congress,accused Sri Narendra Modi of presiding over mass murders of people in Ahmadabad and that his election as PM of India shall be disastrous. This was followed by Rahul Gandhi asserting that Gujarat government abated and pushed riots in Godhara.Taking clue from them Congress spokespersons have started hurling on Modi all kinds of allegations ripping open the wounds which might have started healing after the Trial Courts order of December 26th ,2013.This I am saying as the sworn enemies like NCP leader Praful Patel said that once the Cort has given its verdict, it must be accepted. Even Farook Abdulla, President of National Conference said that if Narendra Modi is elected democratically,he will accept the verdict of the people.

       
Now, I revert back to the facts disclosed in SIT Report which can be summarised as follows:-

      
Pursuant to the killings of karsewaks who were travelling in Sabarmati Express train at Godhara railway station on 27.2.2002, a call for Gujarat bandh was given by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other Hindu organisations on 28.02.2002. On the day of bandh,a huge mob comprising about 20,000 Hindus gathered unlawfully armed with deadly arms and weapons, in further their common intention and indulged in attack on the properties,shops and houses of Muslims as well as a Madarsa/mosque of Gulberg society located in Meghaninagar,Ahamdabad adabad City resulting in death of 39 Muslims including Late Ahsan Jafri ex-MP,injuries to15 Muslims and 31 Muslims went missing.Late Ahsan Jafri fired from his private licenced  weapon in self defence causing injuries to 15 persons in the mob. One of the victims succumbed to his injuries.The Poli e lathi charged,busted 134 teargas shells and fired 124 rounds resulting into death of 4 Hindus and injury to 11others.

         
A case No.CR No.67/2002 U/Ss 143,147,148,149,302,323,332,427,435,436,186,188 and 120B of Indian Penal Act and other provisions of other Acts were registered in Meghaninagar P.S.on the basis of complaint lodged by K.G.Erda, the then Sr.PI.After investigation was completed, charge sheets were filed in the court of Ld.M.M.duri.g the period 03.06.2002 to 18.10.2004.The Ld. M.M.committed the case to the Sessions Court for trial.

      
When the Supreme Court was moved, the trial was stayed on 26.03.2008, an SIT was constituted by its order which carried out investigations and submitted its report. The SIT filed three supplementry chargesheets.The Supreme Court vacated the stay order and Special Judge was notified by the Gujarat High Court on 07.05.2009.The trial of the case commenced on 07.09.2009.

        
In the mean time Smt.Jakia Jafari submitted a complaint to Sri P.C.Pandey,DGP Gujarat for registration of FIR U/Ss 302r/w120B IPC and other provisions.For the purpose investigation,Police wanted to record her statement but it took considerable time to seek her presence.When she ultimately appeared,she refuged to make her statement on the pretext that FIR be first recorded.

        
On 01.03.2007,Smt.Jakia Jafari moved the Gujarat High Court with a prayer to direct the Police to register an FIR and that further investigating be carried out by CBI.The H.C. rejected her petition and directed her to file a private complaint.

         
Aggrieved, she moved the Supreme Court and the Court on 24.07.2009 was pleased to direct that her complaint be investigated by the SIT constituted by the Court.on 15.05.2009 the Hon'ble Supreme Court reconstituted the SIT.The Govt.of Gujarat notified the reconstituted SIT.

            
Smt.Jakia Jafari in her complaint dated 08.06.2006 had named 63 persons as accused which included Sri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat. Other accused were former Ministers and officers of Gujarat Govt.

          
The SIT as constituted by the Hon'ble Supreme Court fully investigated the matter, examined the persons including Sri Narendra Modi and others,examined the materials and gave the following findings:-

         
1.The allegation that the CM did not visit the riot affected area at the initial stage though he visited Godhara   Railway Station on 27.02.2002 stands substantiated.( Proved )

        
 2.No direction  was given by Sri Narendra Modi to Hindu organisation against the observance of Bandh on 28.02.2002, bandh having been held to be illegal                  y Kerala High Court to be illegal stood substantiated.( Proved )

          
However, following allegations which was in the nature of criminal complicity's were found to have not been substantiated ( Not Proved ):-

        
 1.The allegation that Sri Narendra Modi instructed the DGP and senior officers to allow mob to give vent to the Hindu anger on the minority muslims in the wake of Godhra incident during the meeting held on 27.02.2002 evening in Gandhinagar was not substantiated.( NOT PROVED )                                                        


2.The allegation that it was CM who decided that dead bodies of those killed in Godhara train fire be brought to Ahamdabad and paraded in the City was not substantiated ( NOT PROVED )                       

 3.The allegation that numerous illegal instructions given verbally (by the CM to official as detailed in third affidavit dated 09.04.2004 by P.B.  Dreekumar to the Nanavati Commission was not substantiated (NOT PROVED).

         

4. The allegation that no follow up action was taken (by the Gujarat Government/CM) on the reports sent by R.B. Ssreekumar on 24.04.2002, 15.06.2002, 20.08.2002 and 28.08.2002 about anti-minority stance of the Administration. Copies of these reports are appended in second Affidavit dated 06.10.2004 of R.B.Sriikumar to the nanavati Commission was not substantiated ( NOT PROVED ) 

        

 5. The allegation that a press statement was made by Shri Narendra Modi that the reaction against the Muslim community was the operation of Newton's law of reaction was not substantiated ( NOT PROVED ) 

         

6. The allegation that there was undue delay in requisition and deployment of army, though anti-minority violence had broken out on 27.02.2002 afternoon itself in cities of Vadodara, Ahmedabad etc was not substantiated ( NOT PROVED ) 

 7. The allegation that the State Home Secretary Shri G.C. Murmu was presumably detailed for tutoring, cajoling and even intimidating officials deposing before the Nanavati commission so that they do not tell the truth and harm the interests of the CM and ruling party, as narrated in third Affidavit of Shri R.B.Sreekumar was not substantiated ( NOT PROVED ) 

         

8. The allegation that the fact that victims of nots and police firings were predominantly of the Muslim community, will establish that rioters, the administration, cohorts of the ruling party (BJP) were moving in collaboration for achieving the satanic objectives of the CM. Statistics in this regard are given in the second Affidavit dated 06.10.2004 (Para 3/Appendix V) of Sreekumar to the Nanavati Commission was not substantiated ( NOT PROVED ) 

           

In view of the finding recorded by it, the SIT filed an application before the Ld. Magistrate, Ahmedabad to close the case.

           

Smt. Jakia Jafari, filed a protest petition before the Court opposing closure of the case. The Ld. Magistrate heard the matter for several days. A battery of lawyers appeared for Smt. Jakia Jafari and argued the matter in detail. However, the learned Magistrate did not find any substance in their submission's and was pleased to accept the report of the SIT, allowed the application of SIT for the closure of the case rejecting Smt. Jakia Jafari's protest Petition by its order dated 26.12.2013.

           

Now it is for Smt. Jakia Jafari to either accept the Verdict or move the superior Court but the matter needs to be fought on judicial platform. No person from any platform muchless from the platform of a Press Conference show disrespect to the verdict of the Court till it is varied by the Judiciary.

          

The Prime Minister showed utmost contempt to the Judiciary when he said that Narendra Modi presided over the mass massacre of people in Ahmedabad disrespecting order of Court.

          

In my view, Dr. Manmohan Singh who is only a nominated Prime Minister on behalf of Smt. Sonia Gandhi could not have become the Prime Minister in ordinery course, has defaced and defiled the constitution and constitutional scheme and brought shame to the nation by becoming the Prime Minister in this manner. We lived with this kid ugly mechanism which surfaced for the first time in it constitutional highly. That apart, by his constant inaction and Prime Minister brought a complete halt to Indian economy. He inherited 8.4 GDP growth rate from NDA Govt. in May 2004 but brought it to half by the completion of his ten years of term, brought down Industrial Growth to nearly 0%, allowed inflation to run always high bringing an oppressive regine, earned a destination of heading a most corrupt Govt. in the independent India. In other words, he proved to be disastrous for the nation.

          

Now, when the nation is pinning its hope on Sri Narendra Modi to bring development and growth to the nation and thus bring solace to the people, he is being targeted unjustifiably only with a view to tarnish his image.

         

I hope, the nation teaches a lesson to UPA, never to be forgotten by them.

                        

                          The Lamb and the Wolf
       I am surprised that Congress High Command agreed to throw the lamb Rahul before the Wolf Arnab Goswamy of TIMESNOW.They should have chosen friendly channel like Pranav Roy or Barakha Datt of ndtv.They knew that RahulG is thouroughly unprepared to face the toughman Arnab Goswamy who was ready with his questions to blow off the lid from the head of Rahul.This was his first one to one interview in the last 10 years.Congress failed to gauge the readiness of their V.P.with the baggage of 10 years of corruption,misgovernance,policy paralysis,economic slow down and price rise.Congress did injustice to Rahul.This interview was not a speech before the closex and captive AICC where every one was bound to clap.
        Rahul either evaded the questions or called the questions as superficial and showed reluctence to answer or where he answered,he proved disaterous.On the question of taking on to Narendra Modi,he failed to take the bull by its horn.He was evasive and reluctent showed lack of confidence.However,on Godhara riots,he alleged Modi had engineered the killings.On the counter question if he had any proof of it,he simply said some journalist told him.He had no response to the Court's Order accepting SIT Report closing the case and rejecting the protest petition filed Mrs.Zakia Jafri.Probably he was not aware of the facts of Godhara riots.He did not know that to quell the riots,Gujarat Police had fired at nearlly hundred places killing around 300 Hindus.He was also ignorent of the fact that Modi had immediately called three neighbouring Chief Ministers to send their armed personnals to help assist him to stop the riots.He also did not know that Army was summoned within 24 hrs.That apart, he also showed disregard to the Court' verdict giving clean chit to Modi.
          On 1984 riots in which 4000 Sikhs were killed,his response was it was not sponserd by Congress.He forgot that for three days Congressmen had run riot killing Sikhs in Delhi.Army was not summoned for three days to stop rioting.After three days a delegation of Advocates from Supreme Court under Sri Ram Jethmalani had visited the affected areas in trans Yamuna colonies.As an young advocate I was also member of the delegation.I had seen with my eyes how inhuman treatment was meted out to Sikhs.We found half burnt deadbodies of Sikhs,found their wives and children crying in those places.There was no doubt that the riots were engineered by congressmen. Rahul admitted that congressmen were involved.Now the question is whether he will disclose the names of those involved and bring about solace to those families.But despite that refuged to regret.When confronted that Man Mohan Singh apologised for 1984 riots when he was not even in politics.Rahul maintained silence.
             On corruption and price rise,his only answer was that he had been interacting with PM.Though he emphasised that he would not favour any corruption and the law must take its course,he was evasive on taking action on Ashok Chavan and Veer Bhadra Singh.On alliance with RJD and DMK for 2014 election, his reply was funny that the alliance was with individuals but their parties.Congress keeps on thrashing BJP on Yedurappa forgetting that he was removed from the Party and BJP lost the election.Now that Yeddy has cleared his names in many cases,he has been brought back.
           Suffice to say that this interview has exposed Congress and its undisputed leader Rahul Gandhi to the vagaries of uncertain political weather giving clearest edge to Sri Narendra Modi.If Rahul further opens his lips,Modi's task will be much easierto trounce Congress which is already at the verge of rout.This interview has ripped open the wounds of Sikhs who are going to be more and more vocal.
             Undoubtedly a disaster for Congress.

                                              Frankenstein Monster

Arvind Kejriwal has become a Frankenstein Monster created by Congress and trained by modern day Gandhi Anna Hazare.The unruly horse is in no one's conyrol and is ready to eat up governance,democracy and ethival politics.Though he vowed at the time of floating his party AAP that agitations undertaken by IAC under Anna was not yeilding results, it has become necessary to plunge into direct politics to enter the arena of Governance to give relief to the people against their fight against corruption and cleanse politics.Anna completely disassociated himself from him and dissolved the Core Committee.All his colleagues joined him in politics except Justice Santosh Hegde,former Judge of Supreme Court and Ms.Kiran Bedi.
          Well and good.He and his party AAP achieved some success by posting 28 seats in Delhi Assembly routing Congress and reducing it to a single digit party bagging only 8 seats.Though BJP increased its tally to 32 from 23 last time but it fell short by 4 seats to form the Government.Congress extended its unconditional support to Kejriwal who after initial dilly dally formed a minority Government.In a couple of days he claimed that he fulfilled his two vital poll promises of free water and cut in electricity rates by 50%, though it remains a contentious issue whether water flew uninterruptedly to the homes of needy people with many ifs and buts in his order for supply of free water.
          He had boasted from the roof top that his government will bring a complete halt to VIP culture but in a few days nodded by 10 Bed Rooms Chief Minister Residence at Tilak Marg and his ministerial colleagues started travelling in expensive Innovas flashing VIP number plates.He promised that 45 night shelters will be errected within 24 hrs. to bring relief to pavement dwellers but it remained an empyu promise only.When controversies errupted on his 10 bedrooms twin house,he refuged to move into the house and asked for smaller house.A news item broke in media that his Law Minister was indicted by a CBI Court in Delhi for tampering with the evidence which order was approved by Delhi High Court and that H.C.Order was,when appealed in Supreme Court,had to be blinked by Law Minister by withdrawing it,Kejriwal showed utter disregard and pronounced his own verdict that order passed by the court was wrong and his Minister was wrongly indicted.His Law Minister Somnath Bharti plunged into policing and went to Khirki Ext.of Malviya Nagar along with PCR Van and SHO and ordered him to carry out searches at the places of some African ladies on the allegatins that were dealing in drugs and indulging in fleash trade.The SHO refuged to carry out such illegal order, the Minister and AAP party colleagues entered their home,beat them and took tjem to the Hospital and ladies were forced to give urine sample which was found negative and also subjected them to cavity searches.When a few people raised objections to this kind of misbehaviors,Minister used filthy language against them.
          These foreign girls logded complaint to their country's envoy who lodged strong protest with MEA of G.O.I.The girls also lodged complaint with the Police which recorded FIR against unknown persons.They recognised Bharti leading the AAP's mob.Their statements were recorded by the Magistrate.Matter is at investgation stage.The NCW also issued notice to Bharti for violations of human rights and indignity to these women.
          Arvind Kejriwal, instead of feeling ashamed at the misbehavior of Bharti demanded that those Police personnels be suspended immediately.When his illegal demands were not  met he along with his Ministers laid a sieze at Rail Bhawan violating S.144 order which was promulgated in view of preparation for 26th.January.The Dharana continued for two days and Kejriwal gave a claion call to countrymen to assemble at Rajpath in lacs and block organising 26th.January celebrations.He also called upon Policemen to remove their uniforms and participate in Dharna.Fortunately, this time people did not respond and only ahandfull of his supporters had gathered.Ugly unruly behaviour of his supporters forced Police to lathicharge.Police gave ultimatum to Kejriwal to lift dharna from there and go elsewhere.On his failure to incite people,a face saver was devised when Yogendra Yadav went to meet the Lt.Governer.The L.G.issued an appeal to Kejriwal to lift Dharna.Two PoliceOfficers went on leave and announced victory for the people of Delhi and evacuated the place with his supporters.
           Juatice Hegde questioned the wisdom of Delhi CM sitting on Dharna in violation of prohibitory order.If Police had arrested the CM,a constitutional crisis would had arisen.Media heavily critised him for his proactivist role.Social sites were full of condemnations of his Dharna.I had long conversations with tweeter friends on Kejriwal letting loose anarchy and chaos in Delhi.I had pronounced that governance is not the cup of tea for Kejriwal.After becoming CM he should have become an administrator but he remains an activist only.His prononcement of clean governance was only a bogey and he enacted whole drama to save Law Minister Bharti.Pressure is mounting on him to seek resignation of Bharti but he wants to sheild him.Police have to act in accordence with law against Bharti and even Kejriwal for violation of prohobitery orders for which FIRs have been lodged.Kiran Bedi is being threatened with dire consequences for criticising Kejriwal and supporting Modi openly.
           The AAP Government in Delhi is creation of Congress to stop uprising of Modi.Congress is using Kejriwal as a pawn against Modi.Congress forgets that it has created a Frankenstein Monster in Kejriwal who will eat its creator as it does not believe in democracy and good governance.

There was lot of ga ga for RaGa on two days when CWC and AICC sessions for held on 16th.and 17.of Jan.2014. Lot of chanting by sycophant congressmen clamouring to declare him as PM candidate for 2014 polls. Sonia Gandhi put her foot down to declare him as such. But the chanting went on, sometimes deafning to the ears. I don’t hesitate to say that sycophancy became the hallmark of congress since the days of split in congress in 1969 by Mrs Indira Gandhi.
During Sardar Patel’s period, he remained the organisational man and even Gandhi thought congress cannot move without Sardar Patel. During Nehru’s time, there were many stalwarts in congress who used to take on Nehru and they were critical of Nehru in as much some of them lamented that alas, Sardar Patel would have been the PM. CR,Maulana Azad, Kriplani and JP were such leaders. But after Indira Gandhi was installed as PM in 1966 as “GOONGI GURIYA” and she started taking control of congress, even going to split congress in 1969.Thereafter, master-slave relationship exists between congressmen and the Gandhi family. Every congressman by sycophancy desires to come closer to the family by sheer sycophancy. It does not matter to them whether the family member is competent to lead the party or not.
When Mrs. Gandhi was killed in 1984,Congress quickly installed Rajiv Gandhi as PM without caring for his incompetency and where nation would be driven to. When election was held,congress bagged 415 seats in Lok Sabha which was a new height for congress. Giani Zail Singh played a very important role in installing Rajiv Gandhi.
When Giani Zail Singh was attacked in Parliament by congress the President House had become den of terrorism, Giani Ji told me almost sobbing that he installed Rajiv as PM and and he was being abused by congressmen with tacit approval of Rajiv.
Rajiv had come to occupy the without any experience with the result that things started going stray from his hands. He was mislead to such things which ought not have been done. He brought an Act to anull the judgment of Supreme Court in Shahbano case to appease a section of the society but against the women of that section. The law was so brutal that Muslim face of his government Arif Md. Khan had to resign.Then Rajiv was instrumental in opening the lock of Ramlala Mandir giving fillip to RAM TEMPLE AGITATION. He brought Anti Defection Law by incorporating in 10 th. Schedule of the Constitution to keep the herds togather. He amended the Constitution to incorporate Panchayati Raj. But whenever Rajiv’s name flash in mind, two things occur firstly his role to allow Q to flee the country with the help of Arjun Singh in the wake of Bhopal Gas Tragedy which killed around 25000 people in Bhopal due to gas leak and BOFORS. It was Bofors scandal which brought him down. I had associated with V.P.Singh then and had campaigned for removal of Rajiv those days.
Rahul if accidentally, though there does not appear even the remotest chance, becomes PM by hotch potch politics of secularists, he will be out on first ball. I am sure his accedency will bring disaster to the nation and our national security will be at jeopardy. He is one such batsman who is coached about shot in the book, every turn of the ball, every nity gritty of cricket but he has not stood between the wickets even once. The result will be either injury to his person or out on first ball.
I was hearing his live speech from AICC. He was quite enraged as an opposition leader as if the government brought disaster to the nation forgetting that it was his own government which misruled the nation with his participation. I thought he will regret to his delegates and the nation of the misrule and offload the incumbency of ManMohanSingh and Robert Vadra to come clean but he did nothing. Rather he appreciated 10 yrs. if misrule. He never showed his anger when scams after scams were surfacing, prices ware sky rocketing, economy was suffering, people were suffering. He spent 10 yrs. maintaining stoic silence on all the national issues. His blood did not boil when two Jawans’ heads were chopped. Now to impress his slaves, he showed his anger on opposition taunting that they are selling combs to balds. One T.V.commentator said that people really became balled by oppressive politics of UPA and the opposition was taking advantage of situation.
It appears even Sonia Gandhi has realised that congress has lost war before it began and thus shielded him from the onslaught of oppositions.
When the nation is at this juncture, country needs able leadership of Modi who is incorruptable, able administrator, believer in good governance and a true nationalist.
I wish people of this nation show their wisdom and save the nation from further disasters.

                             STRIP SEARCH
Devyani Khobragade,an IFS officer,was posted as Dy.Consuler in India Consulate in NY.She allegedly found wanting in filling the visa form for a maid to be taken to NY.Iam not on correctness or otherwise of the contents of the visa form.It might have been a trivial affair between two strategic partners US and India.But I shall deal with the indiginity inflicted upon her by the NY Police on her.She was arrested,handcuffed and paraded in public.She disclosed her identity but it had no effect.She was subjected to STRIP SEARCH including Cavity Search and kept with drug abusers.
             Let us see what is STRIP SEARCH and how it affects the human dignity.STRIP SEARCH is:-
          " A STRIP SEARCH is a practice of searching a person for weapons or other contrabands suspected of being hidden on their body or inside their clothings,and not found by performing frisk search,by requiring the person to remove some or all of his clothings.The search may involve an official performing an Intimate personal search and inspecting their personal effects and body cavaties ( mouth,vagina,anus etc.).A strip search is more intrusive than a frisk and requires legal authority.Regulerations covering strip searches vary considerably,and may be mandatory in some situations or discrtionery in others"
The procedure of STRIP SEARCH was agitating the minds of ordinery Americans.The US Supreme Court came to consider the validity of STRIP SEARCH in a case Florence Vs.County of Burlington.The case was decided by the US Supreme Court by 5:4 ( Out of 9 Judges).In US all the 9 Judges sit togather and decide the case by majority unlike Indian Supreme Court where Courts sit in benches of 2 or 3 and decide the cases.Only cases involving interpretation of Constitution are decided by minimum of 5 Judges.However,on references made by smaller Benches,cases are decided by larger Benches.
         The facts leading to Florence's case were as follows.One Albert Florence, an African American, a resident of NJ was arrested on the highway.The car w
as being driven by his pregnant and and the occupants of the car included a 4 yr.old son.It was Year 2005 and a Sunday when they were going for dinner.They were stopped by NJ Police. Florence was arrested,handcuffed and taken to jail and subjected to Strip Search including Cavity search bringing indignity to him.He spent 6 days in jail, and finally found innocent and released.But he had suffered inhuman treatment violating all his human rights.Florence had expressed " humiliating.It made me less than a man"
          Florence brought this cause before the US Supreme Court on the ground of Fourth Ammendment to the US Constitution which guarantee that people should be free from unreasonable search and siizure by governtment agencies.He also pleaded Article 5 of the U.N.Declaration of Human Rights which lays down that " No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel,inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment."
            5 Judges of the Court namely Anthony M.Kennedy,John G.Roberts Jr.,Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Samual A.Alito Jr. took the majority view and upheld the power of Police to carry out STRIP SEARCH.However, 4 Justices namely Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsberg,Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan formed the minority opinion.
           It was contended that Strip Search can be resorted depending upon gravity of offences.There is no reason why this search be resorted to cases such as violation of trivial offences such as driving without seat belt or trespassing during antiwar demonstration etc.
           Rejecting all contentions, Justice Anthony M.Kennedy writing for the majority concluded " It is impractical --"unworkable" to expect overworked jail officials to have to take the time to distinguishr between harmless individuals guilty of nothing more than driving without seat belt and those who pose a true threat and may be reasonably suspected of carrying drugs or weapons."
         It is my submission that the reasoning of US Supreme Court is palpably erronous and that the Court should have tested the submissions on the anvil of Fourth Ammendment which guarantee that people should be free from unreasonable search and siezure by government agents.I am sure that our Indian Supreme Court would not have taken this unreasonable view.
           There is also Doctrine of Proprtionality which require that " If a nut can be broken with Nutcracker,hammer should not be used".The punishment should always be proportionate to the gravity of offence.This principle was given a complete go by by the US Supreme Court.
           In Devyani's case, NY Police lost all rationality and subjected her to unreasonable treatment throwing the Strategic relationship in to tatters.India reacted angrily claring the barriers put by the US Embassy in Delhi,cancelling all the IDs given to their Embassy staff and even expelling an Embassy staff from Delhi.A little care by NY Police would have savedboth the countries from embarrassements and indignity to Devyani.

na me bhaktah pranasyati  ll

( Bagwad Gita 9.31)

     The aforesaid verse is from Srimad Bhagwat Gita wherein Lord Krishna says that my devotees never get destroyed.

Lord Krisna says:-

He soon becomes possessed of a virtuous mind ;he attains everlasting peace.Do you proclaim boldly, O son of Kunti, that My devotee does not get ruined.

   Many eblightened  saints have explained the aforesaid verse which is very core of Bhagwad Gita.

    Sant Gyaneshwar wrote his commentries called "GYANESHWARI" most reverred amongst the devotees wherein explaining the aforesaid verse, the saint says that the moment

anyone who gives up his evil behaviour, verily possessed of a virtous mind, he attains everlasting peace and becomes like me and as such he never gets ruined.When a lamp is lighted from another lamp,it is difficult to say which one is first because both look alike.As I am in eternal peace,my devotees also attains eternal peace.

   The saint explained that what ever may be the body.body of a Brahmin or Shudra or an animal, all become pure and pious.When the elephant's feet was trapped by crocodial,the elephant became restless and remembered me, he became one with me and lost animalhood and merged in me.

   Swami Ranganathanand, one of the past President of Ramkrishna Mission while explaining the aforesaid verse said how does a holy mind view human failings and weaknesses? With tremendous compassion, not in harsh way.He explains, generally,in all these ortodox society,there is too much of that harsh judgment.That is the type of a prudish society.But,where there is real bhakti,there will never be that kind of harsh judgment. Today's sinner can become tomorrow's saint.He quotes Dr. Radhakrishnan who used to say,behind every saint there was a sinner and in front of every sinner there is a saint.

  He further said when pure religion will come,the  hange will come.The proximity with God brings humanists feeling.That is how a bhakta never gets ruined.

    Mahabharat recites some stories to prove the point of Lord Krishna.Once Rishi Durvasha came to Draupadi with his desciples and demanded food from everyone.By then food in the kitchen was over and all the utenencils were cleaned.Rishi after ordering Draupadi went to river for bathing.

   Finding herself in such a piquent situation,Draupadi remembered Lord Krishna.When Krishna arrived,he also asked for food.Draupadi was amazed.She showed the washed utencils to the Lord.Krishna found a small portion of spinach stuck in the pot and ate it.Rishi Durvasha and his desciples at once had the feeling that they had stomachful of food and never returned.

   There is another storey.Pandavas lost even Draupadi in gamble.Duhssasan was sent to bring in Draupadi in King's Court.She was dragged inside the Court by holding her hair.Duhssan was ordred by Duryodhana to strip her.Draupadi begged to her five husbands who hanged their heads with shame.She then looked towards the elders in the Court but no help came from them too.Then she cried for help Lord Krishna who at once appeared and saved her honour.Na me bhaktah pranasyati was proved.

   The aforesaid stories may or may not be believed.But my storey is that when I joined the Bar 40 yrs.back,I used to afford only one meal on every Sunday.Rest of the days in week,I remained hungry,at best a piece of bread and a cup of tea at best.When I was allotted a chamber in Supreme Court in 1978, I could not pay Rs.100/- PM as licence fee.To day I am Senior Advocate in Supreme Court and at least nine families depend upon my office fully or partially.

    My first priority in life is devotion to God apart from my profession.I am completely withdrawn from the world.

" Persons who,mediating on Me as non-seoarate,worship Me through everything they do,to them.who are thus ever zealously established in yoga,I privide what they lack and preserve what they alrady have."

                                       Nehru's Will
       Chinese Premier Chou-en- lie once described Nehru as " Cocky Pt Nehru".Was Nehru like that even during the life time of Sardar Patel.Answer is NO.Pt.Nehru was rebuked by Congress many a times because it was Sardar Patel was the organisation man and he was in a better position to persuade his party men to take a view.
         At the Lahore Congress,Gandhi and old guards were very unhappy when Nehru described himself a Socialist and Republican.In Lucknow he was posing to fulfillment of Socialistic idealism namely Communasim.Mahatma Gandhi wrote"Jawaharlal's way is not my.I accept his ideal on land etc.But I donot accept practically any of his methods
I would strain every nerve to prevent a class war."
          Gandhi wrote to Nehru on 29 May 1936" Your statement ....has given much pain to Rajen Babu,CR, and Vallabhbhai.They feel,and I agree with them,that they have tried to act honourably and with prefect loyalty towards you as a colleague.......They feel that you treated them with scant courtsey and never defended them from the Socialists' ridicule andeven misrepresentation."
         The old guards told Gandhi"We feel that the preaching and emphasising of Socialism,particulerly at this stage,by the President and other Socialist members of the Working Committee while the Congress had not yet adooted it, is prejudicial to the best interest of the country and to the success of the national struggle for freedom"
        Nehru had advised Dr.Rajendra Prasad not to contest President's election in 1950 in favour of Rajgopalacharya.Sardar Patel helped Dr.Rajendra Prasad to get elected.Again in 1950, Congress wanted to nominate Purushottam Das Tandon as Party President but Nehru was in favour of Kriplani.He even threatened to resign but Tandon was elected against the will of Nehru.Sardar Patel believed that the will of Nehru was not the will of Congress but he persuaded Nehru not to resign as Nehru had felt that Party had no confidence in him.
         However,after the death of Sardar Patel in December 1950,Nehru started tightening his grip over Congress.

                              THE JANTA DURBAR
     The chaos in Janta Durbar was expected but it was not envisaged by the inexperienced government of Kejriwal.The Delhi CM is in hurry to deliver everything in a short time as he has to plunge into National Election which is at the corner.
        Arvind Kejriwal and co.mastered the art of street agitation under the able leadership of Anna and under his constant supervision.Anna has seen the world and graduated to this level after gaining experience from step to step,became seasoned.But Kejriwal abandoned him and plunged into politics despite his negative advise.Kejriwal was either provoked by people like Digvijaya Singh or at their behest.Within a short time,electineering started and he started on the pattern of street agitation.He made all tall promises to the people and caught the imagination of the people.People were oppressed by the 10 yrs.of misgovernance,steep price rise,bad law and order situation in Delhi.The result was, no doobt spectaculer for AAP.They were forced to form minority government.
       All political leaders of BJP and Congress challanged him as to how he fullfills tall promises.Kejriwal also took the challange seriousely and within two days passed orders on free supply of water and 50% subsidy on electricity.Well and good.How the orders of government percolate down to people have to be seen in due course and what percentage of population are going to benifit needs detailed calculations.
        Now,he misadventures to solve all the problems of all the people in Delhi was bothering them for so long.One complainant who happened have worked for Delhi government some 10 yrs. back had not received the payment of Rs.7000/-.There were many such pending problems which required tackeling.Kejriwal invited whole of Delhi on one day in his zeal to solve them all by one strock of pen.
        Kejriwal and his cabinet did not sit down camly to envisage all kinds of problems.He needed ample time to reflect on varied problems and comartmentlise those problems.Fortunately,Delhi is not a new State and the various institututions exhists on the ground and he was not supposed to build them.However,he was supposed to utilise those institutions.The problems could have been departmentalised on various layer of administrations and should have started sorting them out from the lowest level and allowing his officers the power and time to deal with them and only cronic problems would have reached the level of Ministers and Chief Minister.It would have much easier to find solutions.But Kejriwal Government have no time and are in hurry to deliver.The natural result was mess and complete chaos.He forgot,no tree will bear fruits in hurry unless the stipulated time to bear the time arrives.Democracy gives ample time to the government to deliver.The ambition to plunge into National Scene coupled with their inexperience to governance is forcing them to fail in performance.Anna Hazare rightly advised Arvind Kejriwal  to concentrate in Delhi and not venture for Parliamentry election was a right advise but too much of ambitions force them not to pay heed to Anna.Kejriwal is indulging into mobocracy and populism.

                                   TINA
Decks were clear for Modi.UPA with the baggage of corruption,malgovernance,disaster in economy and what not had given on platter a golden opportunity to Narendra Modi to succeed without much endevour the chance to become the Prime Minister of India.His track record of governance of also shining.Only impediment was Godhara riots case.
        The Trial Court in Ahamdabad also cleared him rejectingZakia Jafari's protest petitoon and accepting SIT report which was sent to Trial Court to be considered.All NaMo's supporters including me rejoiced the moment when he was given clean chit.Narendra Modi expressed his anguish in his blog which was widely read.Media still was not still satisfied and asked for his regret.This clamour was unending.In one of the interview Sagarika Ghoseof CNN-IBN asked Arun Shourie why Modi did not tender regret to the nation.Arun Shourie very politely told her that there was no need for Modi to express regret in words as he regretted in Gandhian way by deeds as there was no riot  in Gujarat in the last 11 yrs.Sagarika Ghosh did not appear to be satisfied with Shourie's answer.
         Congress felt cheatsd by the almighty as Congress was not posing any threat to Modi in Gujarat and Modi is now advancing towards Delhi.Congress had hanged itself upside down but Modi was not being defeated politically as well as through CBI which was let loose on him on various cases such as Shohrabuddin and Ishrat Jahan cases but was unblemished.It played a dirty trick when it was routed by AAP in Delhi election.AAP had fought Delhi election abusing corruption against Congress and partculerly Shila Dixit.Arvind Kejriwal had vowed that she will be sent to jail.When AAP fell short of majority in Delhi Assembly,Congress provide needed support to AAP to form the government.It found a triump card in Kejriwal and started backing his ambition on national platform with a sole view of stopping Modi on national scene.
          Media started tom tomming AAP and Kejriwal as new hero of India and went ga ga on all channels.Congress found a partner in Kejriwal.Congress feels even if Musharraf becomes Prime Minister,does not matter but Modi has to be stopped.
            Therefore,now the ball is in people's court whether Modi should be rejected and if Congress does not come to power,should Kejriwal be supported.Kejriwal could be anythingbut he is not a proven leader.He has no track record of governance.He is yet to prove his credentials.He has not expressed himself on national issues.Should people take chance with a newcomer as against a stable leader who has been instrumental in taking Gujarat to a new hight.There is complete communal harmony in Gujarat.Muslims are enjoying their advancement which is not visible elsewhere.M.J.Akbar once wrote in TOI that Muslims safer in Gujarat than anywhere else.In such a scenario there is no alternative (TINA )but to support Modi in 2014 election.
